Short answers to the questions we hear first.
The full FAQ covers each domain in more depth, including troubleshooting and recommended habits.
Do I need separate systems for a restaurant and a hotel?
No. A location activates the business types it runs — Reservation, Restaurant, Snack and Shop. A hotel with a dining room can run Reservation and Restaurant at the same property; each team sees the screens and stock pool for its own work.
Can staff keep working when the internet drops?
The installed app keeps its interface and recently loaded records available to read. Capturing new entries while offline is still maturing, so a submission made during a real outage should be confirmed once the connection returns.
Will it work with my receipt and kitchen printers?
Yes, through a small companion application installed once per workstation. It gives the browser a direct line to the printer, so a ticket prints from the normal workflow without a system dialog. Without it, documents can still be downloaded and printed.
How are payments recorded?
Staff record what was actually received against the invoice — cash, transfer, card or mobile money — using the methods configured for that location. The platform is the ledger of what was recorded; it does not verify that a transfer cleared.
Can another business on the platform see my data?
No. Each business runs in its own environment with its own database. Isolation is at the level of where the data lives, not a filter applied to shared tables. A request that cannot be confidently resolved to a business is refused.
How do I add a second location?
Add a location to the existing business account and activate its business types. There is no new environment to provision and no data migration; the same staff accounts, branding, security settings and reporting continuity apply.
Does the platform run my payroll or file my taxes?
No. It records payroll-related outlays as an expense category and produces the financial reports an accountant needs, but it is not a payroll processor or a tax filing service.
Is there a fixed price list?
Plans start from $25/month for a single location, with Business, Professional and Enterprise tiers above it. Regional pricing and final entitlements are confirmed in your quote. See the plans.
The words that carry a precise meaning.
Everyday words sometimes mean something specific on the platform. These are the ones worth knowing first.
Tenant
One independent business on the platform, with its own address, database, staff and configuration.
Business type
One of Reservation, Restaurant, Snack or Shop, activated per location. It shapes the tools and stock pool.
Work session
A defined shift at one location and activity, staffed by a team, to which sales and stock movements are attributed.
Department
A stock pool defined by a location plus a business activity — the kitchen, the bar, the shop floor.
Calculated stock
Availability derived from receiving, dispatch, sales, usage and count adjustments — not a manually maintained counter.
Variance
The difference between an expected figure and what was counted or observed, recorded with direction, severity and a category.
Financial period
A defined window — month, quarter, half-year or year — to which invoices, payments and expenses are tagged and then locked on close.
Invoice
The formal billing record created from a real booking, order or service. It tracks the balance as payments are recorded.
